The astronomical clock in Prague, Czech Republic.

I recently paid a visit to Prague where I spent a week exploring this fascinating city, with its amazing transport system, and trams reaching out to the four corners of the city. It was a joy to be able to describe these as fast, frequent, and for me free. One of the things that I particularly wanted to visit was the astronomical clock, which was first installed in the year 1410 so is one of the oldest clocks in the world. If you can work out how to read it, it is capable of showing the relative positions of the Sun, Moon, Earth, and Zodiac constellations. It also tells the time and provides the date. I took with me a copy of Chloe's Extraordinary Telescope to be photographed in front of this particular wonderful piece of time measurement, because Chloe's Extraordinary Telescope is in part all about time, whilst in a sense asking the readers of the book to consider what might happen to the earth in the future.
