Andrew Moore recently shared his thoughts on Maria and the Shelduck:
“What a lovely book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. All ages will enjoy
the adventures of Maria and Dr Paul, not to mention the introduction and part
played by other characters. I am sure others will now want to become keen bird
watchers and follow in Maria's footsteps. Excellent in the way the book
addresses several issues which arise in life! Could there be a Part 2 in due
course. Thank you Claire Rosemary Jane.”
Andrew’s review is really appreciated. It’s especially rewarding to hear the
sense of curiosity and inspiration it sparked, particularly around birdwatching
and the wider themes woven into Maria’s journey. I’m also glad the characters
and their relationships felt engaging enough to stay with the reader after
finishing the book. The idea of a possible continuation is certainly something
worth reflecting on.
